UNLOCK PROCEDURE

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY UNLOCK PROCESS.

This procedure unlocks Huawei R208 from being network restricted to SIM cards from either Vodafone Australia or 3 Australia. In case of difficulties, please refer to the FAQ's listed below:

1.          Take note of the unlocking code shown above. This is an 8-digit unlocking code.

2.          Insert a non-Vodafone or non-Hutchison 3 Network SIM card into the device.

3.          To enter your unlock code:

a)    Switch ON the R208 device and connect it to your PC computer using the  USB cable.

b)    Open your Internet browser and enter the following URL address http://192.168.0.1/unlock.htm or http://pocket.wifi/unlock.htm

c)    When the "Unlock your Pocket WIFI" webpage is displayed, please type the 8-digit unlock code provided above in the box that says "Unlock Code:" and click the Unlock button.

d)    If the unlock code is correct, it will display ""Device Successfully Unlocked". The device is now unlocked. Clicking the OK button will take you to the WebUI homepage.

Please Note:

If a wrong unlocking code is entered, it will display "Incorrect Unlock Code. Please try again." and you have 100 attempts to enter the correct unlock code. The device will be permanently blocked if an incorrect code is entered more than 100 times.

To unblock the device, contact Vodafone Customer Support on the numbers provided above.

FAQ:

Question: I was prompted to enter a PIN number?

Answer: For SIM cards with a PIN ENABLED you will be required to enter a PIN. This is not the unlocking code that has just been provided. For information concerning the PIN, PIN2, PUK and PUK2 codes for a SIM card please read the manual that came with your device.

Question: I am not currently in Australia and I can't unlock the device that I purchased from a Vodafone Australia?
