PHONE UNLOCK PROCEDURE

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY UNLOCK PROCESS

This procedure unlocks the handset from being network restricted from only using SIM cards from the Vodafone Hutchison Australia network. Should you require any assistance with unlocking please contact

Vodafone Customer Care on 1300 301030 if the handset was purchased from Vodafone 

Take note of the unlocking code shown above. This is the 20 digit code above these instructions

·         Turn on your handset WITHOUT A SIM CARD in it

·         Carefully read the following steps before attempting to unlock your device. Entering the unlocking sequence incorrectly will PERMANENTLY BLOCK YOUR PHONE.

·         Enter into the phone #pw+ followed by the 20-digit unlocking code shown above, and then +1#  (Do not enter the 15-digit IMEI number by mistake)

To enter p press the * (star) key three times

To enter w press the * (star) key four times

To enter + press the * (star) key two times

For Example: If your 20-digit unlocking code is 12345678901234567, enter the following in sequence: #pw+1245678901234567890+1#.

The handset will display "Phone restriction Off" and is unlocked after successful entry of the unlocking code. This will be confirmed if you can make and receive calls with an active Non-Vodafone Australia or Non-Three Australia SIM card. (You will need reception and phone credit with the different network provider)

 

Please Note:

If a wrong unlocking code is entered, it will display "CODE ERROR" or "CANNOT UNDO RESTRICTIONS"

If the 20-digit unlock code is incorrectly entered three (3) consecutive times the phone will be blocked and it will display "Not Allowed". If you enter the unlocking sequence correctly after that point the phone will remain blocked. Please contact Customer Care on the number listed above for information regarding a Blocked Device. 

Experiencing Difficulties Unlocking Your Handset?

When raising a difficulty on the Vodafone Australia unlocking website - www.vodafone.com.au/unlock. We require the following information to speed the resolution of any issue that you may be experiencing:

·         Exact wording from the handset of the error experienced when the unlocking code is entered

·         Was the device purchased from Vodafone Australia or Three Australia

·         IMEI confirmed by entering *#06# into the device to confirm – This will bring the IMEI up on the screen of the device

 

FAQ:

Question: When entering the unlocking sequence it disappears?

Answer: Nokia phones have a feature where the unlock code needs to be quickly entered. If the code is entered too slowly, what you have entered will disappear and you will have to start all over again.

 

Question: I am not currently in Australia and experiencing difficulties unlocking the phone that I purchased from a Vodafone and Three Australia outlet
